Oh where, oh where, oh where...has the year gone.

Unbelievable as it may sound, I am now entering my second year in Japan. Crazy gravy baby!! Yup, time has gone like a flash, like a fart in the wind, like... like never before. I'll be 40 before I know it, hahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!! Now that's a freaky thought.

So, what have I thought of my year? It's had it's ups and downs, just like anyone else has had these last 12 months. I've seen some amazing things, experienced a fascinating country with wonderful people, and I've met some strange and interesting folk on my tavels. I've worked my proverbial balls off and got paid shag all for it. My health has suffered, you can't see my eyes anymore for the bags beneath them, and I'm going greyer on top (nothing down below yet). Would I change any of it or do I regret the move?

No.

Here's to another hellishly wonderful 12 months...

ps: this was taken maybe 6 months ago when I you could see my eyes!

Hi Mark,
About time you started going a bit greyer on top: sure I've been heading that way for a while now, and I'm younger than you.
If I were you, I'd check and see if somebody damaged that painting of you that's somewhere in your attic at home....

Swan: thank you!

H: I empolyed top security to guard my beloved painting...I'll have to hire spies to watch my security now.

Pariah: enjoy Sicily. I hear the men like big butch hunks of Irishness...so you'll be safe as houses then.

Hi all,
Carmo-san: there's bound to be some sort of youth-restoring herb or tiger cock over in Nippon that will have you looking as good (or ropey) as you ever did when in your prime?
If there is, please send me some!
Pariah: I can just picture some horny-handed sex-starved Sicilian mountain man looking at you and thinking that your mouth is sure purty...if so, if will be a nice novelty given what Irish people think of your physiognomy! Just watch out if he asks you to squeal like a pig, or whatever that is in Italiano....

Ah, Pariah-san,
I've been a lot of things in my time, including a few that even I'm not aware of, but a gurrier isn't one of them. Sure I was always a bit of a pseudo-intellectual, it's not as if one has to be from one of the more salubrious areas of the city to make such a claim. All it takes is a little bit of curiousity and a half-decent brain.
Remember to pack the lubricant, just in case, and remember that Sicily is infamous for the 'Cosa Nostra' also...that mountain man may just make you an offer you can't refuse! Capice?
